GRUPO VOLANTE

  This is a "Norteno" Tejano sounding conjunto group from Austin, Texas that I had the pleasure of hearing at the St. Joseph's Jamaica in Manor, Texas. This is was the second performance that I had the pleasure of attending.  The Accordion and Bajo sexto were very much insync. They also have a very good vocal matching and harmonizing blend which is very pleasing to hear. After a timid start they found their niche and played to the audience. The group is kept on beat with a fantastic and talented drummer Oscar Martinez. All of the group members seemed to mesh together well at this set.
