The “teddy bears” de la Onda, the HOMETOWN BOYS! Were in the house at Desperados Nite Club, 9515 North Lamar and at Fiesta Patrias in Austin, Texas. If you love puro conjunto music at it’s best, then the HomeTown Boys are at their best. OTRA! They shouted. It was hit after hit and song after non-stop songs on both evenings! With lead vocalist Ricky Martinez sporting his new “slim figure” and with excellent accordian licks by Steve “esteban” Martinez, the HomeTown Boys kept the fans shouting for just one more y OTRA!!!!! The jefecito of the group Roman Martinez on Bajo Sexto never broke out in sweat, but kept the boys on line with his timed fingerings on the bajo. The HomeTown boys are a conjunto ready and ripe and should be nominated for a Grammy in the near future!
