Texas Legend, Alfonso Ramos, el "Leon de la Sierra", y su orchesta featured here in an outside concert in Austin, Texas. Afonso Ramos was invited to entertain austinites during their lunch hour at the new City Hall plaza by Council Member Raul Alvarez during the month of May. It was the final outdoor for the month of May. Alfonso sang many of the his hits of the 70's bringing back "the Old School sounds" to life. It was great having one of our own Texas legends still performing. Alfonso says, "this is not a comeback...because I never left"....
Check him out the next time he's on stage!

"El Mero Leon de la Sierra".
Once again Ruben Ramos and the Mexican Revolution thrilled the crowd at a nearly packed house at H&H Ballroom on June 11, 2004. Ruben's signature "Smooth Dance" entry got the crowd shouting and hollering. You could hear "the Gritos" from every corner of Ballroom. Ruben had arrived. Ruben and his orchestra wowed the audience with his great choice of selections, including balads, cumbias and some "Barbacoa Blues" a tribute to the late Randy Garibay. Special Guest Artist - Alfonso Ramos entertained the audience as well. His vocals and saxphone playing are as sharp as ever! The sight to see was when Alfonso took the lead vocals part and Ruben Ramos jumped on the Drums while seeing second voice. What a Spectacular evening!
